SME UNION (Unie malých a středních podniků ČR) is a nationwide non-profit association that has represented small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech Republic since 2006.
Who we are
Small and medium-sized enterprises account for 99 % of all Czech companies and employ more than 60 % of the workforce. SME UNION is their voice in legislation, public debate and the media. We are a registered association (zapsaný spolek) based in Prague, active across all regions of the Czech Republic.
What we do
- Advocacy — we take part in the legislative process, comment on draft laws affecting entrepreneurs and cooperate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Czech Chamber of Commerce and other institutions. Our positions appear regularly in Czech media (ČTK, Hospodářské noviny, E15).
- Information and education — we publish analyses of economic developments, overviews of legislative changes and practical guides, and organise seminars and conferences through our Academy.
- Networking — we organise B2B events and trade missions in the Czech Republic and abroad, and maintain partnerships with business organisations in Italy, Germany and other EU countries.
- Growth support — we help members navigate EU funds, the National Recovery Plan and other support programmes, and provide free introductory AI consultations for members.
